Aquatic Park near Juan Dolio and the Country Club Miramar are going strong! And some said that nothing is happening in the Juan Dolio/Boca Chica area ! Heavy machinery,
cement trucks have been busy working on parcel of land strategically located off Las Americas highway between
Guyacannes and Boca Chica. Contrary to skeptics who claimed that the project was running out of funds, the work is going
full force and as you can see in the Youtube video below it is going to the finish. A
large sign "Los
Delfines Aquapark" is up. Water
slides and large buildings are now visible from the highway. The word is that, an overpass will cross the highway
and the park will continue to expand on the sea side with water tanks for sea life exhibits. The aquapark' s location
is some 800 meters or so, past Playa Caribe beach in the direction of Boca Chica, right next to Repartados
Las Americas and next door to Country Club Miramar; a little known club, but not for long, given the proximity of the aquapark
. The Country Club Mirama, a large private club
has seen some positive activities since the Aquapark construction. Several villas are under construction. There
are still many parcels for sale and signs are going up and a few magnificent villas are also available. Different
from all the country clubs between San Pedro de Macoris and Boca Chica, it is located on some the highest elevations
in the area thus giving impressive panoramic views of the Carribean sea and the port of Caucedo. From
the rooftop of one of the finest villa for sale, on a clear day, you can actually see some of Santo Domingo's
tallest buildings as well as the San Cristobal mountain chain located behind the capital along with a 180 degree view
of the sea. Located 2 minutes from Playa Caribe beach, 10 minutes
from Juan Dolio, 10 minutes from Boca Chica, 15 minutes from the Port of Caucedo, the Zona Franca, the airport and 45
minutes from Santo Domingo, a possible bank project on the other side of the club, Pinewood movie studio 15 minutes away.
Parcels are still available at reasonable rates...Its a "No brainer" investment!
Its not Fiction ! Pinewood Indomina Studios is constructing huge studios in the beach village
of Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic
Pinewood Studios coming to Juan
Dolio is already making a huge impact. It used to be a small fishing village a few years back but with the Minister
of Tourism having decided at the time that Juan Dolio was to be the "South Beach" of the Dominican Republic,
everything changed. Its location 10 minutes
away from the airport, 45 on the highway, minutes from the very cultural capital of Santo Domingo. You could not find
a better location with miles of sand beaches, newly developped and planned projects such as the Delphines waterpark, the Marbella
condo complex among other large condos, and a bank project near by which would make this area the ultimate place to be in
the Dominican Republic. The Pinewood Indomina Water Tank, a 60,500 Square foot
pool with blue screen capabilities is close to completion as you can see by these pictures. Said to be the most
technically advanced filming water tank in the world. This certainly will bring very much needed jobs in many fields
and added tourism to the region.
Is the Independent Financial Centre of the Americas to become a reality
? According to their Facebook page dated December 19:
 During a quad expedition with two other friends, not
too far from Juan Dolio, we were surprised to come upon, in the middle of nowhere a construction which in our eyes could not
be other than a pyramid, and as you can see from this picture....it could not be described as anything else. It is not
built from blocks but actually carved into a hill. Is this an ancien vestige, a movie set or some grand scheme that
went nowhere? Some lately have suggested that it could have been constructed by the military... This is not
the first time that pyramid discussions have been held in the DR: http://www.indigenousportal.com/News/Possible-pyramid-discovered-in-Dom.-Republic.html and http://www.zimbio.com/Dominican+Republic/articles/27/Pyramids+Valle+Nuevo+Constanza are dealing with this subject. Ancient pyramid or not, its still a pyramid and worthwile visiting.
The location nearby a no name village could probably be exploited and bring some gravely need tourism and income to the
